Delta Electronics Showcased M+ 40Hz Indoor Lighting Solution at the 2026 LeadingAge Annual Meeting

Oakland, New Jersey — Nov.4, 2026 — Delta Electronics, a global leader in power management and smart green solutions, showcased M+, an innovative indoor lighting solution featuring 40Hz light modulation, at the 2026 LeadingAge Annual Meeting. Designed for senior living and long-term care environments, M+ integrates this emerging technology into familiar architectural lighting formats, including LED panels and recessed downlights, while prioritizing visual comfort and lighting quality.

“Senior living spaces require lighting that supports comfort, quality and a welcoming atmosphere,” said Chuck Campagna, President of Amerlux, a Brand of Delta. “M+ was developed to give designers and care providers access to 40Hz capability in familiar, architectural lighting formats—while solving the visible-flicker challenge at full output.”

Across the lighting and research communities, 40Hz technology is used to modulate light output 40 times per second, creating a rhythmic light stimulus at a frequency commonly discussed in connection with gamma activity. Industry interest in 40Hz lighting has grown alongside ongoing research into sensory stimulation. Proponents of the technology believe it may offer a useful way to incorporate this form of light modulation into care settings.

M+ is engineered to make 40Hz capability practical for everyday care environments while maintaining the visual comfort and lighting quality expected in resident rooms, lounges and shared spaces. It combines 40Hz operation with warm 3000K illumination, dimming and high-color-rendering options up to Ra>90 in panel and recessed downlight configurations.

Some 40Hz lighting products currently on the market can produce visible flicker that may be unpleasant for occupants. A central feature of M+ is Delta Electronics’ patented Delta 40Hz dual-system design, which offers a solution to that issue. Delta eliminates visible flicker at 100% light output, allowing facilities to incorporate 40Hz modulation without the visual distraction associated with conventional approaches.

M+ is available in two architectural lighting configurations designed to meet the diverse needs of senior living and long-term care environments.
