Solid State Transformer

Empowering the AI Era: Agile, Smart, and Seamless

Delta’s Solid State Transformer (SST) platforms modernize power distribution for high-growth, high-load environments. By combining power conversion, voltage regulation, and intelligent control into a compact architecture, Delta SSTs enable greater efficiency, flexibility, and grid responsiveness compared to conventional transformers.

Built for data centers, EV infrastructure, smart industrial systems, and similar applications, these platforms enable bidirectional power flow and seamless integration with energy storage and renewable generation. This ensures operators better manage peak demand, improve power quality, and easily adapt to evolving energy requirements.

Delta’s modular design simplifies deployment and scaling, while its advanced digital controls provide real-time visibility and system optimization. The result is a remarkably resilient and energy-efficient power foundation that more than meets the needs of next-generation electrification and AI-driven infrastructure.

Features

Applications
Delta’s Solid State Transformers integrate power across modern AC-coupled and DC-coupled grid architectures—flexibly, efficiently, and intelligently. Their compact size, high power density, and granular control capabilities make them ideal where power quality, system efficiency, and operational flexibility are essential; such applications include electric vehicle charging stations, data centers, microgrids, and medium-voltage distribution networks.

Platform at a Glance
Delta’s SST platform comprises medium-voltage input componentry; power conversion, protection, and control capabilities; and silicon carbide (SiC) power modules in a compact, modular system. The platform converts medium-voltage AC (MVAC) grid power to lower-voltage DC (LVDC) output, efficiently meeting the exact, changing power requirements of next-generation DC loads.
