Walk Through Delta’s NVIDIA GTC 2026 Grid-to-Chip Showcase

By Amy Barzdukas
Head of Americas Marketing

In case you missed it: NVIDIA GTC 2026 managed to outshine its billing, packing in more energy than you’d expect even at this time of almost unbelievable AI factory scale and advancements. The Delta booth was hopping, too, thanks to showcasing 800 VDC power and cooling systems developed for NVIDIA Vera Rubin and the next-gen AI factories; our microgrid solutions; and three distinct Delta implementations using the NVIDIA Omniverse™ and digital twins to improve building automation and manufacturing.

Bear in mind that booth visitors, like you, had a lot to take in. Unlike you, they had the benefit of being guided by knowledgeable Delta employees, interactive displays, and technology models that provided an end-to-end entry into our portfolio of solutions for AI factories.

Let’s start with the microgrid model. Those who know Delta mostly know us for the power and cooling we provide inside the data center. Our microgrid model demonstrated the range of ways we work to bring power INTO the data center. At a time when getting electricity to AI factories is one of the biggest challenges faced by data center operators, this was an eye opener for many. Our PCS, BESS, and microgrid controls provide resilience and backup in a variety of scenarios.

Our Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (as an alternative to gas turbines) accelerates time to power. In addition, our solid-state transformer (SST) enables operators to build next-generation data centers with the new 800 VDC architecture for more efficient and more powerful operations.

What else was in the Delta booth? Now let’s walk through it to meet the products and solutions enabling our partners and customers to meet this fertile, electrifying moment.

800 VDC In-Row Power

A star of our show was the new Delta 800 VDC In-Row 660kW Power Rack, capable of enabling 1.1 MW-scale racks for hyperscale AI factories all while opening space in the IT rack and lowering token acquisition and operation costs.

Our showcase also included Delta’s power solutions for NVIDIA’s MGX platform including the new 1RU 90kW DC/DC Power Shelves, which convert 800 volts to 50 volts at up to 98.5% efficiency, and 1RU Power Capacitance Shelves for smoothing AC-side load fluctuations and providing second-level backup power during outages.

800 VDC cooling solutions

To complement the 800 VDC architecture power architecture, we also showcased two new liquid-to-liquid (L2L) coolant distribution unit (CDUs).

We designed our new 3MW AC-powered L2L CDU with the thermal demands of Vera Rubin in mind. And our new 2.4MW L2L CDU solution, powered by an 800-volt rail rather than today’s 3-phase AC grid, is uniquely designed to handle the 800 VDC architectures coming online soon. We also debuted Delta’s latest micro-channel cold plates for extraordinarily low flow resistance and up to 6,200W of cooling capacity.

Delta’s NVIDIA Omniverse-based digital twins

Finally, we created an area dedicated to sharing how Delta itself is using the NVIDIA Omniverse™.

  • We showed how using physics-based digital twins for building automation in our Taipei headquarters helped us save over 20% in energy costs.  Sensors detect heating and cooling and adjust to it, but our physics-based digital twins also bring in predictive analytics and the interplay of sun, radiation, natural light, and more to proactively flatten the variation curve.
  • We also showed how we use the Omniverse to integrate multiple sources and data types—diagrams, schematics, viscosity measurements, efficiency data, and more—to help us plan and test factory lines before anything is built. And those lines, once built, are easily replicated in our manufacturing facilities around the world.

We Hope You Enjoyed the Show

We were able to host a number of partners and customers, media, and analysts, and got to meet many new people in the industry, too. Some of them could join us at our off-site happy hour to unwind, sit down (yes please!) after a long day on the floor, enjoy some small bites, and casually talk a little shop (or not!).
